Islamabad (Urdu Times) : Nawaz Sharif’s return on August 14 has been decided?
Nawaz Sharif is returning on August 14. Nawaz Sharif’s return has been decided? Nawaz Sharif never faced tougher conditions for Pakistan than Nawaz Sharif and behind the scenes, Nawaz Sharif continued to make hard efforts and negotiations for Pakistan.
Some people thought that Nawaz Sharif would travel to Pakistan from United Arab Emirates after Eid, but it was not possible.
Nawaz Sharif was briefed by the Law Minister about the status of the court cases in the light of the bill to abolish lifelong disqualification from Parliament.
Nawaz Sharif was told about his return to Pakistan that everything has been settled regarding the relaxation of his sentences. Nawaz Sharif can return on August 14.
Meanwhile, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif celebrated Eid with his family in United Arab Emirates, Nawaz Sharif was accompanied by his daughter Maryam Nawaz and other family members.
On June 28, Muhammad bin Rashid and Nawaz Sharif congratulated each other on Eid in the Zabeel Palace meeting, discussed the economic road map after the 2023 elections of Pakistan, the UAE’s support to stabilize the Pakistani economy, and Nawaz Sharif. Regarding the meeting with members of the royal family, on the official Twitter account of the Dubai Media Office, Muhammad bin Al Nawaif shared a photo of Nawaz Sharif’s meeting with members of the royal family on social media and wrote, “Discussion with the expected Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on the economic road map after the upcoming elections.” He just arrived at Zabeel Palace to meet with Muhammad Bin Rashid. It is a wonderful event. According to sources, PM, NS (Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif) is going back home (Pakistan) on August 14.
It should be noted that Nawaz Sharif is ready to talk with all political parties, army, judiciary and even PTI, but in view of the risk of failure, he is reluctant to take the first step on behalf of Muslim League (N). Meetings between Muslim League (N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior figures in the UAE have resulted in consensus on several issues, including both the names of the caretaker set-up and the next elections. A power-sharing formula is included if the parties win. According to the report, the top leaders of both the parties, including the leader of the Muslim League (N) Nawaz Sharif and the leader of the People’s Party, Asif Ali Zardari, met more than once in a week to decide the date of the next general elections, among other things.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Senior Vice President of Muslim League (N) Maryam Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Law Minister Nazir Tarar also participated in the meetings. After the meetings, Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Law Minister returned to Pakistan while Bilawal Bhutto Zardari left for Tokyo. The date of the next general elections was the only issue where the two parties differed. PML-N has been giving mixed signals whether the elections will be held in October or not, but the PPP has made it clear that it wants elections on time. Senior Leader of People’s Party and Special Assistant to Prime Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira said that PPP’s narrative is that elections should be held in October after the current government’s term ends in August. He said that after the Prime Minister gave a clear statement in this regard, there was no ambiguity on the date of the elections.
It should be remembered that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had said that the term of his government will end next month and the Election Commission of Pakistan will give the date of the elections. Whoever wins the election will have to serve the people and bring the country out of the economic quagmire. One of the reasons behind the PPP’s explanation of the election date is that Asif Zardari is keen to see his son as the next prime minister.
A PPP leader said that Asif Zardari is also expected to discuss seat adjustment with the Muslim League-N in Punjab for the next general elections. He said that he would definitely like the Muslim League (N) to consider supporting a few big names of PPP in some constituencies of Punjab, what would Asif Zardari offer to Nawaz Sharif in return. Couldn’t find out.
Earlier, a source said that the future of Imran Khan’s PTI will also be discussed and whether the party should be allowed to contest the elections to legitimize the process or be kept out of the election process.
The PPP leader said that there was a complete understanding between the two on the strategy against the PTI before May 9, but now that Imran Khan is no longer important in the upcoming elections, at least in the PDM’s view, both sides are in the future. are playing carefully to grab their respective cards to get a bigger share in the setup. According to a tweet by Muhammad Bin Al Waif of Dubai Media Office, President of Pakistan Arif Alvi is trying hard to get some relief for Imran Khan through MBS in Riyadh, “I don’t think the royal family can get more than that.”While in this decision consisting of 60 pages, an additional note of 8 pages of Justice Azmat Saeed was also added. In an additional note, Justice Azmat Saeed wrote that he agreed with the decision but not fully agreed with its reasons. He wrote that the basis of Article 62-1F is our Islamic values and such clauses should be interpreted very cautiously. He had declared the position of the Attorney General as correct and said that the position of the Attorney General regarding the matter of defeating the parliament was correct.
While according to some lawyers, lifelong disqualification will be a harsh decision. They said that this argument is more suitable for the Majlis Shura because the court can interpret the constitution, not amend it, while the court has said more than once that Article 62 Disqualification under 1F will be permanent and the person concerned will remain ineligible until a judicial decision is reached.
It should be noted that during the hearing on February 14, 2018, the Attorney General, giving his arguments, said that the constitution did not determine the period of disqualification and the court should determine the period of disqualification separately in each case. Remember that Article 62 The need to interpret the period of disqualification under 1F arose when a debate arose over the disqualification period of former Prime Ministers Nawaz Sharif and Jahangir Tareen. On 28 July 2017, the Supreme Court ruled against the Sharif family in Panama Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was declared ineligible while delivering the verdict in the Leaks case. A five-member larger bench of the court disqualified Nawaz Sharif as Prime Minister under Article 62 (1) (f) of the Constitution.
After the decision, Nawaz Sharif was also disqualified from the party presidency of the Muslim League (N), however, he re-elected himself as the president of the (N) League by amending the Electoral Reforms Act. However, on February 21, 2018, the Supreme Court had decided the petitions filed against the Electoral Reforms Act Case 2017, as a result of which former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was also disqualified for the presidency of the Muslim League (N). In December 2017, the Supreme Court while ruling on the petitions filed against the foreign funding case dismissed the petition against Imran Khan while disqualifying Jahangir Tareen under Article 62 of the Constitution.
In its verdict, the Supreme Court had said that Jahangir Tareen was no longer Sadiq and Amin and the court had directed the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) to take action against him related to insider trading.
After the disqualification of these two personalities, the discussion started that how long will be the disqualification period of the disqualified members of the Assembly under Article 62 One F of the Constitution, after which Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar decided to determine this period. A 5-member larger bench of the Supreme Court was constituted under the chairmanship of Nawaz Sharif decided not to participate directly in the court proceedings in the case of interpretation of the period of disqualification under Article 1F.
It should also be remembered that the case of Panama Leaks created a stir in the country’s politics when in April 2016, the world including Pakistan was exposed to the highly confidential documents of the famous Panamanian law firm Mozaic Fonseca, which worked on foreign taxes. The ‘offshore’ financial dealings of many powerful and political figures had come to light.
The names of the personalities who appeared in these revelations included the former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif and other rulers. After the revelations of the Panama Leaks, the opposition party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. And later, the Supreme Court was approached in this regard. The Supreme Court ordered a joint investigation team (JIT) headed by a senior officer of the Federal Investigation Agency to further investigate the Panama case against Nawaz Sharif to hear these applications. ) was formed.
The JIT had submitted its final report to the Supreme Court on July 10, 2017, after a 2-month investigation. The 10-volume report had brought forward various evidences against the Prime Minister and the Sharif family.
After which the larger bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, delivered the verdict in the Panama execution case, in which Nawaz Sharif was declared ineligible.
Sources say that the year 2024 will start in Pakistan, then for the first time in Pakistan, a triangle is going to be formed, the three sides of which will be equal and the three angles will also be equal, Nawaz Sharif is hopeful that if the Supreme Court If the review application is successful, they will be allowed to contest the election and after that the date of the election will be announced.
